We're looking for functional/QA analysts to join our growing team!

Full-time (35h/week) or part-time (21h/week) permanent or contract with flexible schedule.

With 14 years of web technology experience, the team members at Symetris are specialized in the deployment of large-scale web projects. The Functional Analyst interprets and translates the client’s needs into detailed functional requirements that can be built by the production team.

Your responsibilities for the functional analyst part will include:

  • Meeting with clients to gather needs
  • Write functional documentation such as: User stories, entity relation diagrams and process flowcharts
  • Present documentation to internal and external production teams
  • Assis the sales department for scoping projects
  • Realign functional requirements during a project with an agile approach

The QA analyst determines the level of quality a product needs to meet in the context of the project and the client and ensure that said level of quality is met.

Your responsibilities for the QA analyst part will include:

  • Establish quality baseline for products
  • Write test plans
  • Manage testing activities
  • Determine automated testing requirements
  • Execute test plans

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of work experience
  • College or prof. degree in Computer and Information Sciences, Computer Systems Analysis/Analyst or similar degrees;
  • Proficient with documentation, task management tools like Redmine or Jira
  • Worked with either CMS/CRM/ERP platforms in the past
  • Analytical skills that keep the “big picture” in mind
  • Disciplined and detail-oriented
  • Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously while managing priorities
  • Willingness to learn, adaptability, autonomy, initiative and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills & teamwork
  • English and French writing skills
  • Leadership, initiative and accountability
  • High emotional intelligence (capability to manage stress with grace)
  • Enthusiastic to contribute to the continuous improvement of the team
  • Motivated to work in a growing small business
